Define productive.

You might count productive in hours. That's what most of the world does. Or you may count the number of tasks done.

Both are traps.

Traps that stops us from working on the thing that matter - to figure out a strategy and navigate in the right direction. Something we have not been trained to do.

School didn't ask you to figure out what you should study. It just asked you to study what it told you to.

This no longer works. There are people and there is technology that can follow steps faster and cheaper than you ever can.

The way forward is to be effective, to figure out what needs to be done and to leverage these resources to get the work done.

What's worth remembering is this:

Being productive doesn't feel productive.
