Escaping the escapes.

There are escapes available for us everywhere, all the time - YouTube videos, Netflix bingeing and whatnot.

For some time, these escapes give us freedom from whatever we are tackling. We can forget about it and immerse ourselves in this other world.

And most times, they help us relax to come back to tackle the problems better.

But the escapes now are designed to keep us hooked. One video follows another, one more episode. And it's never-ending.

The end result being that we become drained by the escape itself. And we have even less energy to focus on the things that matter.

The key is to engage with these with caution. Have an escape plan from the escape before you venture into it.
