On the train.

If you board the train, you sign up for a few things. That it will move fast, mostly. That sometimes it would stop.

But also, what food would be available, who would be around you, and the narrow or wide lanes to move through.

As long as you are on the train, the train decides those factors.

And if you don't like those factors, the only way is to get off the train. There is no middle path.

Big companies (and sometimes small ones) take us on train rides that seem impossible to get off. Most of them don't take us where we seek to go or make us feel how we want to feel. But if we are willing to make tradeoffs, we can find ways to get off the train.

And then we can choose our own way of getting where we seek to go.
