Over time.
Compounding happens over time. And effective change requires compounding.
You make changes (some slight, some not so much) to your eating & workout habits, and over time your health starts improving. Same with your work and your relationships.
Working with a therapist or tools like IFS (Richard Schwartz) or Compassionate Inquiry (Gabor Maté) takes time.
The challenge in giving advice is not whether your recommended action would work but whether the person is willing to apply it over time. That's why most advices don't work.
