The gift of 'no'.

Saying no doesn't look like a gift. And, for sure, it doesn't feel like one.

Because it's hard to say no, we say yes. Or stay silent. Even when we don't want to.

We put saying no off for later. For a better time.

We feel that by not saying no we are being kind to the other person. We are being empathetic.

But we end up hurting them even more. We when don't say no, we steal their opportunity to find someone who wants to say yes.

A 'no' said later is much worse than one said sooner.

A 'no' doesn't end possibility. It opens it up.
