Unconditional.

Joy is unconditional. And so is love.

When we bring in conditions, we enter a transaction. We say: "If you do this, you will get that." That's where joy and love go away.

Magic happens when we forget about the transaction, whether it is in friendship, love or our work.

A kind hospital nurse doesn't care for you because your medical bills pay his salary. Nor does a generous waiter make conversation with you so that you tip him. If that were the case, you would see through it. There would be no warmth.

We can love unconditionally. We can create unconditionally. And we can laugh unconditionally. In fact, that is the only way we can.

What can you do simply as a gift? For whom would you do that?

What stops you?
