Without anxiety.

Anxiety makes us believe that we are better off with it. That we will do better work, faster, if we are anxious.

The hustle culture & the economic system driven by anxiety keep doubling down on this message enough that it starts feeling true.

But... are you sure that is true?

Are you absolutely sure that being anxious is making you more productive?

What if you approached the day without anxiety? With intention.

What if you allowed the guilt, the anxiety to be there, but don't let them lead you.

We do our best work when we are calm and at peace.

It's worth giving it a try.

PS. How do we do this? Tell your anxiety this:

It's okay. You can go ahead and stay anxious. I am not going to try to change you. I accept you exactly as you are.

The more you do this, the more you will make space for the anxiety, make space between you and the anxiety, and the more you can be you.

Martha Beck's Beyond Anxiety is masterful in teaching us how to be at peace and live a creative life beyond anxiety.

Give it a listen or a read when you feel up for it.
