After the ball drops.
"I should have already done this."
"I don't even know where to start."
"There is so much to do."
Anxiety shows up in the form of guilt and shame inside our heads. But instead of helping us move things forward, it leads us into a spiral where we get stuck.
We are unable to sit down to work on the thing that should have already been done. Or to make way into something that seems like beyond our reach.
At best what we can do for the anxiety, guilt and shame is to make space and listen to what they are saying. Not asking them to help us do the task.
Once we sit down to work, that's where there is no space for the guilt or shame to lead.
"Now, that that's happened, what do I do now?" can help us get back on track.
If you are juggling, sooner or later you will drop some balls. What do you do when that happens?
