Asset mindset.
"What assets are you building this week?"
If you are like most people, you hardly ever ask this question. Instead you ask, "What tasks can I get done today?"
Tasks are linear. You can get them done and sometimes you get paid for them. But once it's done, it's done. There's no compounding.
Assets compound. They create value over time. The assets you own make things easier for you. And they become more valuable as you keep investing in them.
Assets can be tangible like your MacBook or car, but the more valuable assets are usually people assets. Trust with your smallest viable audience. The permission from them that you can teach them regularly.
You can choose to start seeing your work as building assets rather than finishing tasks. How long do you want to wait before you make that shift?
