The not so obvious work.

Tasks and chores are obvious work, more or less. There is not much to figure out. They might take time to get done. But you know what the output is going to be.

Projects are different. You start with an idea and you iterate through it to make it tangible. You don't know how it will shape up. But with every iteration you keep moving forward.

A project mindset requires us to be patient. It's not efficient like tasks and chores. It requires emotional labour and decision making. And it might be a while before you have a working output.

The temptation is always to go back to task and chores because there is no risk there. You are not on the hook. But if we are going to do work that matters, we need to learn how to work with projects instead.
