Without the mess.
"Tell me what to do and I will do it."
That rarely works. Especially for the things that matter.
Projects are messy. Taking an idea, converting it into something meaningful, getting it out the door, everything is messy. There are no instructions. There is no procedure.
The only way forward is to entangle with the mess, step into the chaos, and try to stay there until we can start finding some clarity.
When we're done, the room will be clean, but only if we are ready to get messy.
“The hospital room may be spotless and sterile, but birth itself will always take place amid chaos, pain, and blood.”
- Steven Pressfield, Do the Work!
